COVID-19 Testing Locations

If you are seeking COVID-19 testing, please read through the information below. COVID-19 testing is being conducted at UP Health System – Bell in Ishpeming for those that meet the following criteria and/or who may need testing for travel purposes:

  • Patients experiencing any of the following COVID-19 symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, the new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
  • Patients who have had a known exposure to someone who tested positive for COVID-19. The CDC defines exposure as being within 6 feet of a confirmed positive COVID-19 person for longer than 15 minutes. Testing is only accurate if conducted at least 5 days after exposure to the person who tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Patients who are required to obtain proof of COVID-19 testing results for travel purposes. This is a fee-for-service test. Please check with your insurance carrier to determine if the cost of testing is covered. Please check with your airline to determine testing requirements. UPHS - Marquette Laboratory performs a TMA Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT), with results received in 2-3 business days.

Appointment Required

If you wish to be tested for COVID-19, an appointment is required. Please call ahead to make an appointment. When arriving for your appointment, please follow the signs for the testing area and remain in your vehicle.
