Woodland Assisted Living

Bell Hospital is proud of our Woodland Assisted Living Community in western Marquette County. This facility provides the comforts of home within a safe and clean environment. Assisted living provides care for those who need help with daily activities but want to retain as much independence as possible. Residents are provided with 24-hour supervision and an array of support services with more privacy, space and dignity than many nursing homes -- and at a lower cost. Contact Manager Judy Creech,RN, at 475-8354 for more information.

What is Assisted Living?

Assisted living facilities are a middle ground between independent living and nursing home care. These homes follow a philosophy of personalized care that allow a resident as much independence as he/she wants or needs. Assisted living offers help in activities of daily living but is for those that do not need the skilled medical care provided in a nursing home. Residents will be able to choose the level of care they require and define their own life style needs. The advantage of assisted living is that residents can receive substantial care in a more residential and less restrictive environment than a nursing home or long-term care facility. Assisted living also provides opportunities for social and recreational activities.

Who is a Candidate?

People who can no longer remain at home independently but do not need the expensive medical care provided by nursing homes or seniors who require assistance with daily living activities and may currently be utilizing home health care aides. Assisted living is half the cost of a nursing home and comparable to the cost of living at home with daily health care services. Contact Manager Judy Creech, RN, at 475-8354 for an application.
